Multiple DV Tapes to Video Collection in Batch


  1. Insert a tape and connect the camera to PC. Switch your camera to the playback mode.
  2. Select one-click full tape capture and click start. The tape rewinds to the beginning and the video transfer starts. Video is encoded in MPEG-4 format simultaneously with the data transfer. The tape rewinds when tape end detected. Load a new tape and repeat.
  3. Play with the Atific Video Collection software or with a MPEG-4/DivX/Xvid compliant media player on your PC or share for other devices like DVD player or home theater equipment.

Live Capture - For very long uninterrupted recording time exceeding tape legth or for Home Surveillance

  1. Connect DV camera to PC. Make sure your camera supports DV-streaming, i.e. while recording the camera sends video to its DV connector either in "pause" or "rec" mode.
  2. Select one-click live capture and click start. You can stop video encoding manually or using a timer in the Atific Video Collection software.
  3. Play with the Atific Video Collection software or with a MPEG-4/DivX/Xvid compliant media player on your PC or share for other devices like DVD player or home theater equipment.

Move VHS Tapes to Video Collection

  1. Use VHS VCR and DV frame grabber to convert analog video to digital. Note that also some DV camcorders can input analog video and stream it digitally to the DV output.
  2. Select Advanced Capture. Start the video capture first and then playback from the VCR. You can stop recording manually, using a timer, or automatically when the playback ends.
  3. Play with the Atific Video Collection software or with a MPEG-4/DivX/Xvid compliant media player on your PC or share for other devices like DVD player or home theater equipment.
